Great Way to Start the Work Week

My commute this morning on the P508 was fine. We were on-time into South Station, arriving at 8:24 a.m. On-time commutes are the best way to start a Monday.

I wish I had been on the train Friday night. It took me over 2 hours to get into New Hampshire. When you take a pounding rain storm and mix it up with a Friday night commute, things need to be a little hairy. But I arrived to my destination safe and sound, which is really all you can ask for.

I had to drop my car off at a garage today, so I took the P512 train today. When I got there, it was "Unknown Mechanical Failure. All Trains Delayed. Please Await further Notice."

After about 10 minutes, at the trains scheduled arrival time, it switched to "P512 (749 AM) Train to Boston Delayed 10 Minutes."

About 5 minutes later, it updated to a 20 minute delay. They were true to their word, and the train arrived at 809, 20 minutes after the scheduled arrival time.

Then we sat in the Grafton Station for a good 5-10 minutes. No delays after that though. We'll see what the commute home holds.

I do have to applaud the communication this morning. They were on the ball both at the station and once we boarded the train. There were prompt announcements, along with some good details.
