Grafton Station Vandalism Update

Last week, I noticed an increased presence of the MBTA transit police in the Grafton commuter rail parking lot. I think this is directly related to the increased communication to the MBTA and MBCR by Grafton area commuters with respect to the break-ins. I know I had been sending multiple emails to MBCR and did receive a response from their customer service manager last week. The text of the email appears below:
Dear MBTA Customer,

I am very sorry for all the problems that our commuters are encountering at the Grafton commuter rail station.

I have notified the appropriate personnel at the MBTA asking that they request a greater police presence at this station and have been assured that this will be addressed.

Again, I am sorry for this situation and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Sincerely,
Linda Dillon
MBCR Customer Service Manager
I did see some more broken glass in the parking lot this morning, in the row beginning with the number 50. I hope this doesn’t mean the vandals are back. I’ll keep an eye out and continue to contact MBCR if I see anything out of the ordinary. I also encourage other commuter rail riders to do the same. Here is a direct link to the MBCR's Commuter Rail Customer Service page. You can select the "Submit a Concern" tab to submit questions, comments, and feedback.

I heard that the T police made an arrest yesterday related to the incidents.

Do you have any other information regarding the arrest?

I have not been able to find any information about the arrest. I have a call into MBTA/MBCR about that and will let you know if I hear anything.
