My Maniac Monday Commute

So I got hosed with the train this morning. When the P508 arrived five minutes early at 7:04 a.m., I was still in my car on Route 30. There was no way I would be able to get from Route 30 to the parking lot, pay to park and then get across the outbound track to get onto the train, so I hoofed it into Westborough. At 7:11 a.m., I was heading to the Westborough parking lot and the train was already pulling away. The train was way AHEAD of schedule, which I guess is fine if you're actually at the station 10 minutes before the train's departure.

Since I didn't make it to the Grafton or Westborough stations, I had to drive in. What a PITA (and not the best way to start a Monday).

I don't think that was actually P508 ahead of schedule, but P506 20 minutes behind schedule. (I got email alerts informing of a 15-20 minute delay alert for P506, a 30+ minute delay alert for P508, and a 20 minute delay alert for P512.) Of course, the question then is: which is worse?

Be glad that you missed the piece of crap train because the 508 got us into Boston at 9:10 a.m. today.

All the trains started running late at 6:30 a.m.

It was awful and to make things worse, all the fat pigs -- the tubs of lard who get on the train in Worcester -- were hogging all the seats and they wouldn't let other riders sit.

It really sucked.

The reason the P508 was early was because it was not the P508! It was the severely DELAYED "new" P506, which left Worcester at maybe 6:54 (ONE minute before the P508 usually leaves). So, the P508 probably was 25 mins late as well.

I was on the train from roughly 6:47 to 9:00. Talk about a horror commute.

This new schedule seems great already....[sarcasm].

Oh no sir, that train you missed was actually the previous local! The regular 508 was about 40 minutes late in even leaving Worcester! I got on but then couldn't get a good answer about whether they'd turn it into a local...I jumped off, walked back home and worked here instead.

Total joke.

That wasn't the 508- it was the late 506. Everyone thought the same thing, so the local train was packed by the time it got to Framingham. People got on the train thinking it was the express, and it was chaos without conductors making announcements at the stations. There were people still getting on and off when the train pulled out of Ashland- lucky no-one was hurt.

Sorry, but that wasn't train P508 you missed - that was the P506 train that was running late.

The P504 had some oddness in Wellesley this morning. I'm still not sure what happened. We stopped mid-track, sat for a while, then a conductor came through (I can tell you the PA system was 100% broken!) and said there was just a slight mess up because of all of the wet leaves on the tracks. Except then what happened was that we drove backwards for quite a bit until we got to the previous stop, which they had somehow missed? I'm still confused, but the people getting on were like "what the heck?" too.

I agree with the comments about the fat pigs from Worcester who sit diagonally across seats and refuse to let other passengers sit.

The fat slobs from Worcester have no right to hog all the seats. They should stand up, in fact, if they're so fat that they take up more than one seat. The seats should be reserved for the thin people who take care of themselves.

TRAINSTOPPING, WHY NOT WRITE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM??

Thank you,
